Microplates With Transparent Bottom

The Benefits Of Using Microplates With Transparent Bottoms

Microplates with transparent bottoms are available in the 96- and 384-well formats. The microplates are manufactured out of white or black polystyrene (PS), with a transparent bottom made of polystyrene (PS).

Applications

These BRANDplates® microplates are ideal for luminescence or fluorescence measurements when a transparent bottom is required. Due to the transparent nature of the microplate bottom, contents can be viewed easily therefore these transparent bottom microplates are well suited to perform transmitted light measurements.  Given these qualities, the microplates with transparent bottoms can be examined directly under the microscope, which can be quite important, especially for cell-based assays. The pigmented upper structure reduces the crosstalk between the wells during detection.

Available Surface Types

  • Non-Treated Surfaces
  • Immunoassay Surfaces
  • Cell Culture Surfaces

Microplates with transparent bottoms are available in non-treated surfaces (sterile and non-sterile), immunoassay surfaces (immunoGrade™ and lipoGrade™), and cell culture surfaces (inertGrade™, cellGrade™, cellGrade™ plus, and cellGrade™ premium).
